What is the best internet for tourists in Istanbul? There is no single answer, because a three-day city break, a month in a rented flat, a family holiday and a business trip need different things. Istanbul has plenty of free WiFi in hotels, cafés and at the airport, and it is fine as a back-up. Short city break (a few days)
On a short trip every hour counts, so you want to be online from the moment you land, not after queuing at a counter. If you arrive at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), you can pick up a pocket WiFi 24/7 in the arrivals area: show your passport, switch it on and enter the password on the screen. Long stay (weeks or a month)
