Pocket WiFi device ready for pick-up at a Turkish airport

Looking for WiFi rental at Turkish airports? StayinWifi hands out pocket WiFi devices at three airports, Istanbul Airport (IST), Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) and Trabzon, all with 24/7 pick-up and return, plus an office in Bursa. This page compares the points so you can choose the one that matches your flight, then open that airport's own guide for the details. Flying into IST? Our WiFi at Istanbul Airport guide covers the first hour after landing.

Every point hands you the same rental: unlimited 4,5/5G internet, up to 6 connected devices and a power bank in the box.

Which one fits you? A quick rule of thumb:

  • Staying on the European side of Istanbul (Sultanahmet, Beyoğlu, Taksim): pick up at IST if your flight lands there.
  • Staying on the Asian side (Kadıköy, Üsküdar) or landing at SAW: pick up at Sabiha Gökçen.
  • Black Sea trip: collect at Trabzon Airport and keep the device for the whole route.
  • Multi-city trip: pick up where you land, then return at a different point or have the device collected from an address at the end.

Picking up at the airport means you are online before you leave the terminal: you can message your hotel or family, open maps and book a ride right away, without hunting for a SIM counter or relying on time-limited free airport WiFi.

Istanbul Airport (IST)

Istanbul Airport (IST) is on the European side of the city. Our representative meets you in the arrivals area after baggage claim; you show your passport and leave with the device. Returns are made on the departures floor before passport control, so you can check in first and hand the device back on your way out.

It is the natural choice if you are staying in the old town, Beyoğlu or anywhere on the European side. The IST pick-up guide has the exact meeting point and return shop.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW)

SAW sits on Istanbul's Asian side. The collection point is GİFTPORT in the arrivals area, open around the clock, which helps with late-night and early-morning landings. Returns are also made at GİFTPORT before passport control.

Choose SAW if your ticket lands there or you are staying in Kadıköy, Üsküdar or elsewhere on the Asian side. See the Sabiha Gökçen guide for directions.

Trabzon Airport and Bursa

Heading to the Black Sea region? At Trabzon Airport the device is handed over at the Airport Cafe under your reservation name, and you return it to the same place. Pick-up and return run 24/7. It is a good start for trips to Uzungöl, the highlands or Sümela. Read the Trabzon Airport guide before you fly.

In Bursa there is no airport desk: you collect the device at the StayinWifi office in Nilüfer. The address and pick-up details are on the Bursa office page, and the Bursa guide explains how to plan it around your arrival.

Flying into Antalya or İzmir?

Antalya and İzmir airports are not pick-up points. You can still be online from day one: have the device delivered to your hotel or Airbnb, or shipped to an address anywhere in Turkey. Our Antalya Airport and İzmir Airport pages explain the options.

How airport pick-up works

  1. Book online and select your airport as the pick-up point, with your dates and the number of devices.
  2. Choose where you will return it: the same airport, another pick-up point, or collection from an address.
  3. After landing, show your passport (or your reservation name in Trabzon) and receive the device.
  4. Switch it on, enter the WiFi password shown on the screen and connect up to 6 devices.
  5. Return the device with the power bank, cable and adapter. At IST and SAW, do it before passport control.

Travelling as a large group? Book more than one device, since each one connects up to 6 phones, tablets or laptops.
